Who knew we could combine a meat alternative with humble chickpeas and create such a creamy smooth dip! Here’s your proof – Nutolene Hummus. Vegan, gluten-free and truly addictive.
200gms or 1/2 can Loma Linda’s Nutolene
1 cup boiled chickpeas
2 cloves of garlic, roughly chopped
2 tbsp tahini
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp extra virgin Olive oil
1/4 cup lukewarm water
In a food processor, add the tahini, lemon juice and garlic. Process for approximately, till smooth and whipped.
Next, add in the chickpeas and process till smooth.
Finally add the Nutolene and process. Add lukewarm water as required and process to the desired consistency. Serve with pita chips, Olives and vegetable crudités of your choice.
