A vegetarian steak recipe that’s made with plant-protein and is super easy to prepare!
q can vegetable steaks, cut into strips
1 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion, sliced
1 mushroom, sliced
1 whole-wheat pita bread cut in halves
In a large skillet sauté in oil onion and mushroom until tender; set aside.
In same skillet add vegetable steak strips and heat about 3 minutes. Stir in onion and mushroom mixture.
Spoon equal amounts of steak strips mixture into each of the pita bread halves. Serve hot with favorite salad and dressing.
