A hearty, healthy, vegan appetizer that’s perfect for any occasion, and is super easy and quick to make!
2 tbsp neat egg
1 package neat Original
1 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, diced
1 bell pepper, diced
1 stalk celery, diced
1/2 cup ketchup
1 tbsp vegan worcestershire
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp dry mustard powder
salt to taste
black pepper to taste
cayenne pepper to taste
mini hamburger buns (your choice of bread)
optional – pickle slices
In a small bowl, stir neat egg together with 1/4 cup water. Add package of neat, 2 tbs of water and stir.
Heat olive oil in pan at medium heat. Crumble neat mixture into pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until neat browns on all sides (about 10 minutes).
Add garlic, onion, pepper and celery and cook everything together until onions are translucent (about 7 minutes).
Stir in ketchup, worcestershire, rice vinegar and dry mustard. Let mixture cook for another 5 minutes.
Add salt, black pepper and cayenne pepper to taste.
Arrange sliders by spooning a generous scoop of mixture into each bun. Top with pickle slices and enjoy.
